Ingredients
·
3 tablespoons
butter
·
1-1/2 cups
sugar
·
1 cup water
·
1 cup light
corn syrup
·
10 Oz or 2
cups o’ pistachios, almonds, peanuts,& cashews
·
¼ cup o’ Flax
Seed
·
¼ cup of
Sunflower Seeds
·
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Extract
·
1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
·
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
·
Candy Thermometer
·
Parchment Paper
Directions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set
aside.
2. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water and
corn syrup.
3. Cook over medium heat until a candy thermometer
reads 270° (soft-crack stage), stirring occasionally.
4. Sprinkle nuts and seeds with cinnamon
5. Add nuts and seeds; cook and stir until the
mixture reaches 300° (hard-crack stage).
6. Remove from the heat;
7. Stir in vanilla and remaining butter.
8. Add baking soda and stir vigorously.
9. Quickly pour onto prepared baking sheet.
10. Spread with a buttered spatula to 1/4-in.
thickness.
11. Cool before breaking into pieces.
12. Store in an airtight container

- Yield: about 1-3/4 pounds.
